Ideal for demolition, plumbing, remodeling and general wood and metal cutting the Versa-Tool Bi-Metal oscillating saw blade cuts nail embedded wood, fiberglass, tubing, PVC, copper Pipe, metal mesh, sheet metal and other metallic and non-metallic materials. Versa-Tool Bi-Metal Blades are great for Flush and Plunge cuts and are designed with laser welded high speed steel cutting edge and flexible alloy steel back to resist breaking, further extending blade life. The Versa-Tool universal arbor system is compatible with the following brands. Good product, but not great

Would be 5 star based on price and that the teeth are fairly long lasting. There is one significant problem that took a few blades to notice however.The area of the blade that attaches to the tool, in my case a Bosch, has a number of flanges that allow the blade to be "universal" and work with many different tools. You cant see it in the product picture, and for that matter the product picture is old and should be changed. They look different now. You just need to take my word for it I guess. Once you get them you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.Back to the point. Those flanges will almost always break off before the cutting teeth are actually worn out. When the flanges break, it is impossible for the tool to hold the blade completely firmly as it oscillates. It essentially starts to slip where it is attached to the tool. It is very subtle, and it's not at all obvious at first, but the tool will start to cut less efficiently after the flanges start to break. It's not as if the blade is completely loose and flopping around, it just isn't being held dead firm, and this subtle slipping negates part of the effect of the oscillating action. I actually only noticed it after changing the blades a few times and as I removed the hold down screw and washer and removed the blade, the flanges just fell off. They were snapped off, but the washer was still barely holding them in place.I would still recommend the blades, as I have recently purchased a second 10 pack, but just be aware of the breaking problem. The longevity of the teeth and the price still makes them a good buy, but they do have a significant flaw. A tolerable shortcoming I suppose. I have yet to find the "perfect" aftermarket blade at a reasonable price. Maybe it doesn't exist.Post script: I just came back to edit after I read some of the other reviews. Saw a number of one star ratings. Most mentioning the blade breaking off at the weldpoint. I'm on my second 10 pack and I've used 13 blades so far and never had this experience. Maybe they've changed them from what the other reviewers received. I know mine are all black and the product picture shows them with a black blade and silver base. Maybe those are an older version. Can't really say, just telling you I've never seen a hint of the problem they are referring to. Weird.

Great blades

I bought these to replace the Harbor Freight blades that I had worn out. I bought the 10 pack so I would have enough for the project, but so far I'm still on the first blade. It is performing admirably.

Bought these blades because the blade that came with my new Boch tool wore out after cutting about 12 feet of baseboard molding.A new Boch blade was $25.00 for one. These are for cutting both wood and metal. I bought the 10 pack thinking they would wear out fast and the cost was much cheaper.I was wrong. I'm still on my first blade after multible cuts. Buy these if you want to save money.
