Great item for a reasonable price.

I've bought several tools from Klein Tools recently and like the rest of them, this Voltage tester works exceptionally well. I wanted CAT IV protection, but I also a very bright light and a auto shut off feature as well. Not only does this tool have all those features, it also comes with a pocket clip and is very easy to change the batteries as well.In addition, the instruction manual is very well written so if your new to the world of electricity, this manual really goes in depth about it's features. Now unlike other testers this tester also loud audible bleeps to show if the circuit is still hot (live) or has no power. Let me tell you, that is very handy not only from a safety aspect, but as a general benefit as well.This product is also very durable as well. At first glance it may appear to be nothing special, but taking a closer look and it's constructed out of very high quality materials.For the reasonable price and all it's features (especially it's CAT IV (1000 volt protection it's well worth the money. It's from Klein Tools, so it's quality product from a great company.

This non contact volt meter is great. I work in HVAC and sometimes need to check if I have 24 volts at the control wires. With this compact meter, I can carry it all the time and I always have a way to know if my control voltage is present as well as high voltage. It is well built as I would expect from Klein. I would highly recommend it.

Very useful and easy to use

Easy to use, self adjustingThe tip is shape such that it fits into the outlet.Most accurate result is obtain when you touch the tip to the wire or insert tip into outlet.There is a green LED light at the tip area which is on when you power-on this device. It helps to light up the area that you are probing.
