spare battery for panasonic screwdriver

The National Panasonic screwdriver was one of the best on the market for ease of use and sheer power compared to it's size.The total lack of spare batteries available always restricted my use of it until Ifound batteries made for the item and available from Maximal Power through Amazon.For minimal cost I have full use of one of the best tools I have ever owned.

Not a Ni-Cad!!

Bought this as a replacement for an AEG minidriver Nicad battery pack, used the original AEG charger and thisbattery heated up VERY hot within 15 minutes. I was afraid I had cooked it. I haven't opened the battery up yet butI am fairly sure what I find inside will be Li-ion/Lithium Ion cells and not Ni-Cads. Buyer Beware!ADDENDA:Over time have found this battery chemistry is different than its predecessor Nicads but it will fully charge, just not like a normal Nicad-- you must charge it no longer than a half hour at a time, than take it out of the charger and LET IT COOL for a half hour before you put it back in the charger. Two or three cycles like this and it works fine.Keeps a charge longer too.

Purchased this battery for my 1985/90 vintage Milwaukee and Panasonic 2.4V screwdrivers - they have given me many a year of good service but the batteries finally stopped taking a charge. The price was fair and the battery was delivered in a timely manner -- charged up and seems to be working as advertised for the past 2 months of use. Will probably buy a few more soon.
