The handle shape and short blade length of these unique carving tools make them the perfect "gap fillers" between conventional palm handled and full sized carving tools. The 4-1/2" handles are designed to be held like a pencil for precise control. When more force is needed place the flared handle end in the palm of your hand. Tools have 1-1/4" laminated steel blades. Set contains a 3mm (1/8") #9 gouge, 6mm (1/4") #8 gouge, 7.5mm (5/16") skew chisel, 7.5mm (5/16") straight chisel, 4.5mm (3/16") V-parting tool, 9mm (3/8") #5 gouge and a 9mm (3/8") #3 gouge. High quality carving tools for a great price!

These are high quality wood carving tools for a great price. I have heard tools of this quality are usually more expensive. When used and honed properly, these tools cut through the wood like butter, even against the grain! The tools are lightweight and have a very comfortable grip. These are also ideal tools for printmaking. If you are a printmaker and are looking to purchase some tools, I highly recommend these!

This is a great set of carving tools. I purchased the smaller set with 5 tools and now wish I had spent a little more for the bigger set. I have big hands but the handles fit well and are easy to work with. The tools come out of the case ready to work but I stropped mine a little bit and they were even better. They hold an edge well and I'm very satisfied with these tools.
