I paid [...] from an Amazon merchant for my 16" box, and I was pleased with the value. If you are able to purchase yours for today's price of $[...] from Amazon, you will be super pleased. At the time I purchased mine it was unknown whether there was a tool tray, as even the manufacturer forgot to depict or mention this in their website, but as you can see from the additional photo (look only at the gray box - this is the 16" model that I am reviewing) it does include a tray. The construction is robust, latches seem adequate for a heavy load. The only fault I can find is that there are gaps around the handle where rain is guaranteed to enter, as there is a recess which will channel water to these holes. So if you need protection from the weather, you must look elsewhere. It is not possible to seal these gaps with sealant. I recommend that you visit the manufacturer's website PlanoMolding.com before making your selection as they have a wide variety of boxes. That's where I will start the next time I need a tool box.

Not that sturdy

Wasn't impressed with the sturdiness of the tool box. The plastic is rather flimsy and the the all plastic hinge is weak.

My reason for purchasing this tool box was not for tools. I'm a Christmas/holiday lighting enthusiast and I'm always looking for ways to save money when it comes to my favorite holiday. This tool box is perfect for housing two computerized light controllers. The handle pops off easily and the open holes can be filled in with weather tight seal or tape allowing me to place them outside close to the display. This allows me to use far less extension cords (and ever increasing cost when you add to your display each year).A controller housing from the retailer costs around $24 to house one card. This will house 2 cards and cost less than $16. I can't loose! I'll be purchasing more over the next few weeks.
