rigid should have stayed in the plumbing business
By $ is to hard to come by dont buy junk!!!!!
I have been a pipe-fitter for many years and have always trusted rigid tools until i bought this P.O.S. and to make matters worse i bought a second 1 after trying to return the first for faulty batteries,DO NOT TRUST their lifetime warranty B.S. they will give u a run around and try to convince u its your fault and not warranted junk junk junk

Ridgid sticks to its words only when convenient for them.

Registration is very painful. May be a trick to so then can advertise lifetime service agreement & honor it as little as possible.I bought this tool NEW, not refurbished so I could be sure to enjoy the Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA). The tool itself worked great for about five weeks, when a battery died. The battery charges but the tool does not see the battery. Overall the batteries do not last very long.I brought it back to Home Depot, where I bought it, who did not want to deal with it, they said it was for me to call Ridgid. I called Ridgid who said Home Depot was the place to go. Ridgid and Home Depot both claimed that I needed the original receipt. That was a core reason not to send the paperwork immediately. That and other things make 3 months go by when I finally had extra time to register and try again. Ridgid now says I should have registered within 90 days and that a copy of the receipt is fine, that I should have ignored the text that says they need the original. So now I can no longer register for LSA.So buy Ridgid as a tool but do not believe their agreements... unless you are really really good a reading fine print, call them a lot, and make sure you process papers as they say, not as they indicate on their site.Bart

Great Tools

This was a Great Deal!! I'm very impressed with Rigid's tools. I also have Bosch,DeWalt,Black & Decker, Hitachi & other brands to compare them against and for my money Rigid makes the best. would definately recommend to a friend.
